3D model description

I had an old Aerobird Xtreme from Hobbyzone in the rafters and decided to try to get it flying. The vtail control horns that the unit came with are extremely flimsy, and over the years, had become brittle. This design is vastly superior, and allows for more ease of use.

To install the control horns, just poke a couple of holes in the foam using the horn mount holes as a template, run some M3 hardware through the horn upper and bottom, and use a nut to secure the whole unit and clamp it down evenly to clamp the foam tightly. To secure the control string, I used another M3 nut and bolt, with a washer on one side, and wrapped the string around the bolt, such that it was captured between the plastic and the washer.

The other piece is the v-tail clamp, as the original piece had also gone brittle and crumbled. To use, I once again dug into the M3 hardware bin and ran a bolt down through the clamp, through the tail, through the tail boom, and put a nut on the bottom.
