3D model description

This 1/20th scale U-2R was designed for belly landing to be simple to assemble and reduce the wing loading. Wing “Super Pods” are removable and can further reduce the weight. All servos are either mounted on the top of the wings or inside the fuselage to protect control horns from possible damage when landing on grass.

Wingspan: 1627mm(64 in)
Length: 960mm(37.8 in)
Wing Area:23.7 dm2(367 in2)

Free assembly manual can be downloaded from my profile, via the free U-2R tail section.

On-Board Flight Video:

Modified Nose3 and Tail3 to shift the wing to be mid-mounted (more scale) instead of low-mounted. Included "No_Support" folder in STL zip file if the fuselage sections are having trouble printing with the supports built-in.

Updated Manual. Added ZIP file for Fixed Landing Gear STLs

Updated Manual. Wing1 and Wing2 now have an optional variant with leading edge turbulators, and a "clean wingtip" to reduce tip drag. Added prototype enlarged wing variant which relocates servos to the lower wing surfaces. This variant is not yet tested, but is available for anyone who wants to give it a try. Assembly guide covers additional information.

3D printing settings

Refer to PDF manual included in the download, or from the provided links (free downloads). Download includes Prusa Gcodes.

Note that the included Gcodes are made for ABS. If you want to use the packaged Gcodes for PLA, you can tweak the Gcode files in a text editor to lower the nozzle temp to ~230 and Bed temp to ~60 deg F.

That will be great! I plan on buying your file I'm just trying to source access to a printer that can print it

I can add that to my to-do list. There are also some nose variants that I might also create as well

will you be adding the sensor pod that mounts to the top of the fuse eventually ?

Will you be adding the little sensor pod that mounts to the top of the fuse as well ?
