This power bank holder mounts to your bicycle, so you never run out of power. The holder is specially designed for an older 10400 mAh Xiaomi power bank, which can be seen in the final image.
The holder can be mounted directly to your bike using zip-ties, or by printing the stem_mount parts, which allow you to mount the holder anywhere on your frame
(27 mm diameter).
This design consists of the following parts:
- cover V2.stl
- stem_mount2.stl (print this one twice!!!)
If you want to mount the holder directly using zip-ties, you only need to print the first two files. Otherwise, print the stem_mount.stl and stem_mount2.stl (twice!!!) to mount the holder to your bicycle frame. The stem_mount.stl part can be mounted to the holder using zip-ties.
The cover can be attached to the holder in two ways:
- tap the holes in the holder
- insert heat set threaded inserts in the holder
I chose to attach the cover using heat set threaded inserts. A link for buying these can be found below. Because I tried mounting an older version of the cover with magnets, I could only use two of the four mounting holes. This is why you only see two threaded inserts and bolts in my pictures.
To insert the heat set threaded inserts, you can use the tip of a solderin iron to gently push the threaded inserts into the holes. Don't heat the threaded inserts too long at a time, because that will cause the surrounding plastic to losen strength.
