After 20 years of daily work with Photoshop, I feel sometimes the need to have one of its tools available in real life. I tried to create a Ctrl-Z option, but without success ; so I decided to look at something less ambitious for a first try. Thus, I've made this dogtag-like "framing helper". It has the standard grids of the crop tool of Photoshop (golden spiral, golden ratio, triangle, diagonal, rule of thirds) for the most commun photo ratios (1/1, 4/3, 3/2, 16/9). You can print the base and grids separatly and clip them together, or you can print them in place for a single object.
Only first picture is a photo, other pictures are 3d renders.
3D printing settings
Test print : "16/9 Base" + "16/9 Triangle" (specs bellow are for "16/9 Base", which is the biggest piece of the set)
- Dimensions: approx 50mm x 25mm x 3.5mm
- Material: ABS.
- Print time: 20min
- Print spec: 0,1mm per layer, 25% infill
- Filament usage : approx 35cm.
- Printer : DaVinci Pro 3in1.
