Gift Box with print-in-place open-close mechanism.
Whether you need to store something or want to give a special gift, this box will help you.
You only need to print 4 different pieces:
Triangles x 6
Side rectangles x 4
The box and the mechanism are joined by pressure. The triangles are attached to the gears of the mechanism also by pressure, although you can glue them to prevent them from separating. The lateral rectangles I recommend to glue them directly.
Once out of the print, you will probably have to force the mechanism slightly to get it to move.
Mount the triangles with the gears in the position shown in the attached photo so the mechanism's closure will be parallel to the box.
I have printed everything in PLA, but I have also printed the triangles in TPU to prevent them from breaking.
