3D model description

100% print in place box with a mechanical opening mechanism to store small items, no assembly required.

The only thing to do after printing, is to cut one small support on each of the doors

If the gears don't turn freely after printing, i recommend grabbing each gear on the bottom with pliers and freeing them one by one, by slowly turning them back and forth

UPDATE 2023.05.04:
Reinforced the gear links on the top doors, since they were too delicate for some printers. They are much stronger now

3D printing settings

  • i recommend not going higher than 0.25mm on layer height and 0.4mm nozzle-diameter, in order to get the mechanism working without post processing
  • print at least 3 perimeters
  • insure good first layer adheasion
  • no supports
