3D model description
A cryptex offering 456976 different combinations via its 4 alphabetical rings.
Designed for a homemade escape game, it contains clues necessary for adventurers to progress.
Its advantage lies in the fact that you can change the code at will by removing the small screws that hold the locking ring, the latter preventing the alphabetic rings and the crenellated rings from coming out of the main body (external body in my 3d model).
3D printing settings
External length: 72 mm
Outer diameter: 50 mm
Internal length (containing the message or secret object): 62 mm
Internal diameter (containing the message or secret object): 32 mm
For a dimensionally correct printing, the rings should be printed with 0.1 mm passes, but also the edge thickness should be adjusted to the thickness of the rings so that the filling does not come into play.
The parts named external and internal body can be printed with 0.2 mm passes and filling for enhanced rendering and strength.
