***Created this as I could not find one when searching for when my mom broker her arm to save her the costs of renting one.
***Only the small parts, gears and riser bar were printed with a .4mm nozzle at basic .2 resolution....the rest was done in .8mm nozzle with basic .32 resolution. It helped with faster printing time....5% infill to which surprised the hell out of me as it held up for my needed use. So your choice what you choose for infill %...
***Helps get the extension/flexion/reach back into your arm after breaking it. I did not need to use the cuff spacers but I assume others may! I also did not finish making the box that surrounds the threaded rod as was not needed for whom I made it for but shouldn't be too hard for someone to create one if needed in Tinkercad etc. No holes in the cuffs but again it quickly can be done in Tinkercad or drilled where wanted best for user comformability.
***For the box I used: 5x3/4" flat head wood screws.
***Gorilla Glued the gear box once together to the middle bottom of the bicep/forearm connecting bar. Someone im sure can create a better connection for the two objects??
***For the fasteners I used: 10-32 lock nuts
32-x1-1/4" to 2" machine screws
M4-0.70 25-35mm machine screws
All fasteners sizes etc depend on your sizing and customizations remember!!
***Uses allen key to turn the gear box to which in turns moves the threaded rod to which raises or lowers the riser bar/cuff bars to either straighten or bend your arm.
***Been given some advice to use mouse pads as you can get them cheap to use as comfort padding and then just need velcro straps to keep your arm in the cuff.
3D printing settings
Used .4 and .8mm nozzles at basic resolutions....5% infill but at users discretion.
