3D model description

Good morning everyone!

Here i will show you my project. I am really proud of it, I love the idea of sharing it with you, and i hope you will enjoy it!

My aim was not to create something just usefull or just nice to watch, but something that can have both these two characteristics. So i realized this object.

This is a little box with a switch on the top and a power led on the frontal side. Basically the main idea is a Torch. I designed the style of an Action Cam because : n1 i love the essential design. n2 so the ''torch'' is really small ,compact, and strong (great skills!). After this first step i decided to create a way to let it stick quite everywhere. Fortunately the way already exists and is really easy. I love ball-joints! So I realized 4 balls on the two big sides of this box. Using ball joints i created some legs for the action cam, so it can stand everywhere .In my opinion, anyway, it was not still enough so i realized a chain of ball joints using the project you can find here. There you can find the best and smallest ball joints I have ever printed. I also designed a ball joint with two balls and one with two holes, it can be really useful! Using these things you can stick the Action Cam essentially everywhere ( look the photos where I put them on the bike! it worked perfectly PS there I used because i was still printing the one i realized, it works as well!). Then it was an object really useful, but not really nice, so i decided to play with leds. I created some covers (they are not custumizable on Custumizer because i am not good with OpenScad, but if you would like to customize them, please just ask me, i will create and upload them as quickly as i can ), i personally used the wu tang logo because I am a fan :D There are three different kinds, two of them opened and one closed, check the results watching photos, the effect is wonderful!

So you can use it ;

as an accesory, it is really useful if this summer you are planning to do a nice excursion in a dark place.

as a lamp, is really nice.

as a torch, for exemble on your bike or somewhere else.

and in houndreds different ways!

Let' s find your way and show me your amazing results!

I hope you will enjoy yourself using it as i enjoyed myself realizing it

N1 the most important thing! Is not possible to open Cases in Customizer because i don' work with OpenScad. But!!!! If you want to customize your cases, please send me the logo or the write you would like on the case and i will create and upload the project as soon as I can! ( i work with Rhino, this operion is really easy and fast on that program, so don' t worry, you will not wait ages for a case.)

Now how I made it:

I realized the circuit ( you can see it in the picture) using 12 V leds (the common light for the car) that is really powerful. You can connect it to a 12 V battery or to 8 button batteries of 1,5 V each one. (The size is really similar.). So i bought this stuff and a classic switch, i paid 3 euros. I scaled the back and the frontal part of the Cam on 105% so the circuit fit better. As you can see in the picture i put all the circuit in the box and i closed it.At this point there are two important thngs. Number one: it is better if you use some tape to stick the wires because if they go out from the place where they should be, there will be a gap between the two parts of the box (like in mine :/) but it is not a problem at all. Number two: use some scissors to modify the holes and the connection between the two parts, it will fit better.

So now your circuit is in the camera and the camera is closed! You can put the Led in his place and start to enjoy.

Cases have to be scaled 105%.

I used 30% infill, no supports (but probably is better to use them in a couple of places) 200 microns and raft for the cases. (If you use Kapton the result should be better).

It is all really easy and fast to print!
