Pinhole photo camera to print

An assembly of eleven 3D printed pieces, a few screws, a piece of a regular soda can as well as a 35mm photo film. The3dPrintedPinhole 35mm is highly easy to manufacture and use.

You will find all the necessary files to make and have your own !

3D printing settings

Necessary equipment:

  • a 4 mm drill bit and a drill machine
  • a piece glass paper (or sandpaper)
  • a cross-head screwdriver
  • 4 bolts+ nuts, hex heads, 4x40 mm
  • 4 self-drilling screws, cross-heads, 2x12 mm
  • a sewing needle
  • a soda can

Instructions :

  • Print all the needed pieces in black PLA with a shell no less than 2mm minimum and a 30% filling,

(case, back, reel with support, left side button, right side button, 2 strips, 3 parts of the shutter (obturator) , key),

  • Counter-pierce four holes of 4mm diameter and insert the four bolts,

  • Sandpaper both holes in order to perfectly slip the buttons,

  • Slide the strips,

  • Make a 0,25mm diameter hole using a needle on an aluminum piece from a soda can, verify using a magnifying glass,

  • Begin screwing the 3 shutter (obturator) pieces with the four self-drilling screws,

  • Place the needle pierced hole between the shutter (obturator) and the case, and screw firmly,

  • Close the back of the camera,

  • Tighten by screwing the nuts with the key,

The camera will be ready for its first film.
