I actually didn't mean to make this one. I started out with a test print of the Enterprise in a smaller size before I maxed out my print bed but I couldn't just not use it. I decided to stick it to a mirror, then I had the bright idea to put lights on the back for a halo effect which turned into stars. Then I needed a way to hang it and then to hide the battery pack and here we are.
I used a candle plate and a led light string from hobby lobby, I took pictures of both so you can grab your own. I used permanent double sided tape to stick the ship to the glass in case I want to paint it later, regular clear tape to stick the lights to the back, and wire to hang it on the wall. The mirror and battery pack just slot into place.
Lights my small office a lot better than I expected, like the low end of a dimmer switch. The ship is coophead's on thingiverse but you can use whatever model you want.
I printed it with supports at 0.2mm layer height in cc3d silk bronze and some off brand black pla. I also set the top thickness to 1mm and swapped the filament once it started covering the the final layer of infill.
