3D model description

This assembly is mainly designed for the Corporate Gift Contest.

It illustrates the team spirit between two companies or other corporations.
There are three wings. Two of them are labeled with the company logos.
The third wing illustrates the "Handshake" and underlines the solidarity.

These wings are just an example. There is an empty wing inside the zip.
So you can customize each corporate gift for every individual purpose.
And this is exactly the aim for 3D-Printers. Customizable, Individual items. No mass production.

Inside this box are two massive pivoted bavel gears so the rotation mechanism will work quite safe.
You can rotate the three wings by turning the little black ball.

On the top of this creation is a yellow ball with a thread inside. With this ball you can lock the wings.
Just screw him some millimeters off an you can change the wings.

Parts to print:
- baseframe
- baseframe for the wings
- bottom with gearwheel and shaft
- cap with pinion
- ball crank
- 3 bolts
- locking orb
- 3 wings
e.g. DaSt wing, magigoo wing and Handshake wing

At this point thanks to the noun project.

Handshake by deadtype from the Noun Project

Diameter 100mm
Height 155mm

3D printing settings

Sliced with Cura and printed with a Creality-Cr10

Don´t use any support.

Especially the "gearwheel_shaft.stl" and "pinion_cap.stl" must be printed in the given position. Otherwise the bavel gears will not rotate after the print.

All threads should be printed with a layer heigt of max. 0.1mm.
If you slice it with cura it is recommended to use "Use adaptive layers". So you can print threads with a small layer height and the other layers with a higher number.

I used "ironing" for the wings to smooth the surface.
But i modified the g-code that the nozzle will iron the whole surface for better optical characteristic.

I also added the "M600" command to the g-code. This command initiates a filament change.
So you can print with one extruder in two colors.

(Send me an email if you would like to have more informations about how i modified the g-code)
