A larger piece of art based on a scene from Rick and Morty.
Printing is pretty much the same as the small Panorama, except nine times longer.
Printing the the nine panels took over 100 hours, printing the 12 frame pieces took around 40 hours.
All Panorama stl's - Black, change to Orange at 0.6 mm, change to White at 1.1 mm, change to Yellow at 1.6 mm. 0.1 mm layers, 100% infill.
Frame pieces - color your choice, resolution your choice, infill your choice. I used 0.3 mm and 20%.
Put the panels edge to edge. Use a 3D pen to attach the panels together.
Don't get too crazy, too much material on top will be hard to cover up.
You can use more on the backside where it doesn't show.
The assembled Mega-Panel will be surprisingly sturdy once complete.
Many of the picture elements are printed in white. Even I don't want to do twenty filament swaps.
I used a combination of Sharpies and acrylic paint to paint in the planets, flying butt, highlights, etc.
It works pretty well.
Use appropriate adhesive to glue the twelve frame pieces together. (Note: the number of the piece has no real significance as to where it goes in the frame. Dry assemble first before gluing). I used Gorilla Glue, with small board splints to keep the pieces in position.
After all the pieces are glued, I went over the back side joints with the 3D pen to reinforce the joints.
Once the frame is sturdy, use Bondo or similar filling material to fill any unsightly cracks. Sand smooth, spray with primer.
I spray painted my frame gold, as all the finest artwork is displayed in a gold frame.
