3D model description

I will never be able to create masterpieces like this sculpture by mushogenshin, but I did want to add a base to it - all great busts need a base!

The original model (I based this on version 3) was done in inches, so the first thing I did was convert it to millimeters. Once that was done, I added a three tier base along with a nameplate with Tesla's name. I realized, though, that I really didn't have anywhere to put this at it's original size, so I shrunk it down to 75%. When I did that, though, the lines forming some of the segments of the full name "Nikola Tesla" were too small to be printed. I could have went with a different font, but I liked that one :P So I created a second version with a smaller nameplate with just the last name "Tesla" on it. When the plate is scaled down to 75% (only in the X and Y axis) this still prints fine. Finally, there is a third option without any nameplate at all if you prefer that look.

So, to recap:

NikolaTesla_wBase = no nameplate and can be printed down to 75%
NikolaTesla_wBase-Nameplate_v1 = full name on plate, **cannot* be scaled down*
NikolaTesla_wBase-Nameplate_v2 = last name on plate, **can* be scaled down to 75%*

Be sure to print the corresponding nameplate that goes with the version you choose and only scale the nameplate in the X/Y direction.

I am a self-proclaimed know-it-all. I will tackle any project regardless of my experience, or lack thereof. Always ready to learn something new. With over 25+ years experience in electronic repair and 10+ years experience in small engine / ATV / motorcycle repair, there is nothing I can't fix, modify or build.

Why a pepper? In case anyone is curious as to why there is a hot pepper embossed into most of my designs... My nickname is Pepper and that little pepper logo is a hell of a lot shorter than "Copyright © 2017 by Derek J.G. Tombrello" which is how I usually sign my work :)

This statue is incredible! I've printed off a 6" and a 10" version and they both turned out amazing! One issue though is that under the chin there's an island of filament that tries printing in mid-air for a few layers, so that when it comes back up to an actual bridge to the neck there's a bit of sphaghetti sticking to the underside of Tesla's chin - Looks like he' missed shaving for a few months haha. This extra can be cut off and polished away, but still amazing work here!
