Welcome to Wax’s maps! I convert free, public mapping data into bite-sized 3D printable files via GIS software of areas of interest either to myself or others. I’ve already optimized maps in terms of complexity and height scaling to make them look as good as I can to the best of my ability. If you want a lot of detail, print the maps at 0.1-layer height, if you want a map to have topo lines, print it at 3.0+ layer height. Most of the maps are pre-scaled to be 10x10cm squares, but if you scale them up 25-50% they make great wall art! No supports needed, and they look extra cool when you switch up the colors like I have in the photos. If there’s an area or mountain that I haven’t made that has some meaning to you, I’d be happy to add it to the queue, always making new maps!
