3D model description

Owlbear with 5 points of articulation. Joints are loose and will not hold position, but figure still easily stands with at least one arm on the ground.

Model stands at about 10cm.

Arms can be printed solid or split to reduce amount of supports.

For construction, pins are inserted through the body halves, backed by filler pieces. Once body is assembled limbs and head can be put onto the pins by friction or glue depending on your tolerances. Washers can be used to help prevent glue squish out from hitting body.

3D printing settings

Supports required.

May want heavy infill on the pins for strength.

If there is elephant footing on your first layers the pins will be tight to insert through the body, and you may want to reduce them to 95%.

Pins are meant to be very tight into the limbs, if the pins are scaled down then glue will be needed for connections.

If you are using glue, washers that fit tight around the pins should be used as shown in the pictures, that will give extra surface that can be glued to the limbs and help prevent glue from hitting body.
