3D model description

This light house was designed to actually light up with a rotating tower that acts as the light switch. If you don't like electronics projects, you can just print it as a model for your beach house or just as a reminder of how much you miss the beach :)

The model is split into 6 pieces so that it can be printed in different colors.

All files and assembly instructions are included in the downloadable Zip folder.

3D printing settings

If you have a resin printer, print the light bulb in clear resin; hollow with a 2mm wall thickness, then put an 8mm hole in the bottom to allow the LED to fit inside.

If you don't have a resin printer, print the light bulb out of either, clear, white, or yellow PLA in vase mode with no bottom layers.
In Cura, set bottom layers to zero and under "special modes" turn on "spiralized outer contour".

Below, are the settings for all other parts;

Print with supports touching buildplate, 10% infill

Print at 10% infill. Use supports only touching buildplate, use a support blocker around the outside of the tower. The only place supports are needed are inside the center cylinder, and the cutouts for the locking mechanism.

Lightning infill worked great for me, but 5% infill is sufficient if lightning infill is not an option. No supports needed.

No supports and use a brim so it doesn't tip over while printing, printed with a .12 mm layer height to make a smoother arc at the top of the door.

Rock Base

Printed at 10% infill for some added weight. No supports needed.
