3D model description

They say that in London you're never more than 5 yards away from a rat (and that's just at work!)
These models represent the sewage underbelly of London at the time of the Ripper, a tribute to the victorian engineers who had the vision and foresight to shovel the detritus of London away from the populated areas and relieve the River Thames of some of its toxic burden.
This is a work-in-progress as I hope to deliver a rat themed solo wargame, so watch these spaces

Most of the sewers come in two halves - the straight piece however can be printed in one piece if put vertically on its end. As usual I try to make all my pieces printable without the need for supports or rafts

Undercoated in gesso
Painted in acrylics
Topped of with matt varnish except for all the green gooey slimy parts and the sewage itself which benefits from gloss varnish

How I Designed This

Overall design...
I love playing dungeon-type games but always feel they're not quite 'dungeony' enough for me - I also wanted to give a bit more of the arched architecture within the sewers to get that victorian feel, even if it came at a slight disadvantage when moving figures about the sewers.

Please note: The sewers are designed to go directly underneath the Ripper's London - Back Streets [ ] There are two ways of dealing with this in wargame terms
a) Use the blank pieces with the support piers to jack up the buildings to the required height or
b) lay the sewers down to one side copying the layout of the roads - the drain covers in the roads will match the access holes in the sewer pieces
I prefer b) but a) does look quite dramatic!

Please note, I have added a new road piece to the Back Streets - a 90 degree bend to go with the matching sewer piece
