2021-11-25: Update auf V4.4 Für ender 3 pro, ender 3 max und Ender 3 mit microswiss Linearschiene.

V4.4 fang mit integrierter BL/CR Touch-Halterung, die Löcher gehen aus einem ganz bestimmten Grund nicht durch. Es handelt sich um eine einzelne Schicht, die nicht durchgeht und es ermöglicht, Brücken zu drucken, so dass man keine Stützen braucht, um das Teil richtig zu drucken. Dann schneidet man die einzelne Schicht ab, um die Löcher zu entfernen. Das habe ich gemacht, denn wenn man versucht, eine Brücke zu drucken, die in der Mitte ein Loch hat, sieht das nicht sehr schön aus, oder man muss Stützen hinzufügen, was den Druck umsonst verlängert. Jetzt lässt sich die Brücke auch ohne Stützen gut drucken, und es dauert nur 10 Sekunden, um die einzelne Schicht abzuschneiden, damit die Bolzen hindurchpassen. Viel Spaß :)

2021-11-14, V4.4 Versionen für den Voxelab Aquila, auch mit BL-touch / CR-touch Halterung.

2021-11-13 Neue V4.4 mit korrigiertem Spitzenwinkel für bessere Luftstromausrichtung, integrierte BL-touch/CR-touch Halterung mit zusätzlichem Bolzenloch für bessere Steifigkeit (Versatz: X = 44mm, Y = 7,5mm). Für Ender 3 V2 und ender 3 microswiss direct drive kit. Update für die anderen Modelle wird folgen. Für das Drucken mit der eingebauten CR-Touch-Halterung sind überhaupt keine Stützen mehr erforderlich. Es ist eine kleine Turmstütze im Modell eingebaut, die man am Ende einfach abknipst.

Außerdem wird der Microswiss DD-Abstandshalter ohne Löcher für den Extruderknopf hinzugefügt.

2021-05-04: Hinzufügen von Fan duct up V2, die integrierte Gitter auf der Oberseite hat. Es ist schwieriger zu drucken als das Original, also lasse ich beide Dateien hier.

2021-05-01: Hinzufügen eines Modells, das zum Voxelab Aquila passt und eines, das zum Microswiss Linear Rail Kit passt. Muss noch einen BL-Touch-Adapter für die Aquila entwerfen

V4.2

-Jetzt kompatibel mit micro swiss direct drive M2601 M2602. Sie müssen den Fang, den Abstandshalter und den Extruderknopf drucken. (wird mit einem BL Touch-Halterung für diese Konfiguration in der kommenden Woche oder 2 kommen)

Alle Modelle sind mit integrierter LED-Beleuchtung erhältlich (5mm Strohhut-LEDs an der Vorderseite und die Möglichkeit, einen 20mm-Stern darin unterzubringen). Beide Dateien sind sowohl mit als auch ohne Beleuchtung erhältlich. Das Modell mit Lichtern ist etwas komplizierter zu drucken und hat kleine Funktionen.

-Größere, robustere und einfacher zu druckende Lasche für die mittlere Schraube (ender 3 pro und microswiss)

-Schlitz für das Drahtloch für den vorderen Lüfter

V4.1

-modifiziert die Montage ein wenig für Ender3 & Ender 3 pro. Jetzt eine andere Datei als die Ender 3 V2.

-Hinzufügen eines Schlitzes für die vorderen Lüfterkabel

2021-02-04: Hinzufügen einer winzigen optionalen Zusatzteil, das unter dem heißen Ende Lüfter geht, um den Kanal zu vervollständigen, um absolute maximale Effizienz zu erhalten. verlassen dies als ein separates Teil aus dem Fang, weil es aus dem Druck es ohne Unterstützung zu verhindern. -den Einsatz für das obere Gebläse wieder voll gemacht, damit das Bett besser haftet

-eine Brücke hinzugefügt, um den Schornstein mit dem oberen Lüfterflansch zu verbinden, um denjenigen zu helfen, die Probleme mit der Haftung haben

-eine Kerbe in den Kühlkanal des heißen Endes gemacht, um den Bolzen beim Einschwenken freizumachen, was die Installation erleichtert

-das Loch für die vorderen Lüfterdrähte ein klein wenig größer gemacht, so dass einige winzige Bullet-Stecker durchpassen.

-Ein zweites Loch auf der Rückseite hinzugefügt, das mit der originalen Ender3 / Ender3 Pro Rückenplatte übereinstimmt.

BL-Touch-Halterung spezifisch für jede Version

2021-01-03 edit: Ich habe die STL für den vorderen Lüfterkanal hinzugefügt, um zu verhindern, dass alle Trümmer und Filamente von der Bauplatte angesaugt werden. Druckt ohne jegliche Unterstützung, legt ihn einfach flach auf den Lüfterflansch. Für die Montage benötigt man die längeren Push-Pins (STL "holder pin 4020 fan + duct")

V3.0 hat viel größere Kanäle als die V2. Es strömt viel mehr Luft zu Ihren Teilen. Der Kanal ist auch breiter, so dass es das Teil richtig kühlt, wenn gerade Linien in der Y-Richtung zu tun. BL-Touch-Halterungen für die einzelnen Versionen

Schlanke, kompakte Fangvorrichtung ermöglicht die Verwendung von zwei 40-mm-Lüftern. Einfach zu drucken und einfach zu bedienen, es ist ein einzelnes Teil, das ähnlich wie die ursprüngliche Lüfterabdeckung auf dem Ender 3 v2 befestigt wird. Es wird mit der Oberseite nach unten gedruckt, ganz ohne Stützen. Sie können 10 oder 20 mm dicke Lüfter verwenden. Ich habe die STL-Datei für werkzeuglose Druckstifte zur Befestigung beider Lüftergrößen beigefügt, aber sie hat auch Aussparungen für M3-Muttern, um beide Lüfter anzuschrauben. Die M3-Muttern sollten einen Sechskant von 5,5 mm haben und maximal 2,5 mm dick sein.

Die Idee hinter diesem Projekt war es, zwei leise 4020-Lüfter zu verwenden. Zusammen mit meinem 120mm PSU-Lüfter ist der Geräuschpegel auf etwa 50db gesunken (15 DB leiser als das Original) und ich muss noch den oberen Lüfter gegen einen 4020er austauschen. Ich habe einen Sunon MF40202V2-1000U-A99 Lüfter verwendet (gekauft bei Digikey). Es ist lauter mit M3-Bolzen als die Pushpins tho... scheint, wie es mehr Vibrationen durch steife Bolzen überträgt. Ich habe einen 330-Ohm-Widerstand zum Sunon-Hot-End-Lüfter hinzugefügt, um die Geschwindigkeit und den Lärm zu reduzieren (senkt die Spannung zum Lüfter auf etwa 18 V)

Hinweis: Es ist sehr kompakt und eine enge Passform, musste ich die Silikon-Socke auf dem heißen Ende zu entfernen, um es in zu bekommen und setzen Sie die Socke wieder auf nach. Die Heizungsdrähte passen gut zwischen die beiden Kanäle und ich habe einen Schornstein gemacht, um sie mit einem Kabelbinder zu befestigen und Ermüdungsbruch der Drähte zu verhindern. Ich machte auch Löcher auf der Lüfterhalterung Gesicht für die Drähte durch das Innere für eine saubere Installation zu gehen.

Für die Zweifler: Perfekte Überbrückung bis 40-50mm mit dem serienmäßigen 4010 Hot-End-Lüfter oben drauf. Schafft es immer noch, die 100mm zu überbrücken, sieht aber furchtbar aus. Das ist PLA. Wäre besser mit einem 4020 Lüfter, aber das ist mehr als genug für das, was ich brauche.

Ich habe eine BLtouch-Halterung hergestellt, die bei Bedarf separat gedruckt wird. Diese braucht allerdings etwas Unterstützung. Versatz -44mm und -8mm

paßt auf den CR-10 nur mit dem kürzeren Ender3-5 hot end***

3D-Druckeinstellungen

WICHTIG!! Sie müssen die Schaltfläche "SELECT FACE TO ALIGN TO BUILD PLATE" in Cura verwenden, damit der obere Lüfterflansch flach auf dem Bett liegt. Denn wenn du das Modell nur um 90 Grad drehst, ist der Flansch nicht flach und du wirst es schwer haben, das Modell zu drucken. Der Flansch ist etwa 88 Grad von der Vertikalen entfernt, so dass es nicht offensichtlich zu sehen ist. Ich habe es vorhin versäumt, darauf hinzuweisen, das tut mir leid.

0,2 mm Dicke mit 0,4 mm Düse

Zum Drucken wird keine Halterung benötigt (außer beim Modell mit integrierter BL-Touch-Halterung. Es wird ohne Halterung gedruckt, sieht aber mit Halterung besser aus)

Ich empfehle, PETG zu drucken, weil es flexibler ist und sich am heißen Ende leichter zusammensetzen lässt, aber auch mit PLA funktioniert.

Hi Dominic, looks like the flow control no longer matches the rest of the fan duct.
In version 4.3 I was able to combine them, and they aligned perfectly. Not with 4.4 version though.

I did not change that part of the model... but i'll take a look at this tonight and see where the error comes from. Thanks for the heads up

Just to clarify, I'm talking about combining STLs into one piece. In prior versions these parts were snapping together perfectly without any need for position/rotation adjustment, and I was able to save/print the resulting STL.
I personally prefer this option because I get a single solid part that doesn't need any gluing at the cost of printing with supports.

and how do you print that with supports? what does the part looks like? mind to send me a picture? just curious. brissmoto@outlook.com

Not sure why the STL's won't allign tho, it's the exact same file that has been modified, relative positioning of the parts shouldn't have changed.

I compared "Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4 + cr touch.STL" and "Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.3 + BLtouch.STL" by importing the STLs into OpenSCAD:

As you can see, the right sides align well, but then internally things don't align and therefore the flow control part doesn't quite align with V4.4.

Printed and installed this. Had to adjust my X limit switch because the bl touch bracket was hitting the limit switch shroud before the switch triggered; anyone else with this issue?

For anyone on the fence allow me to allay your fears. This fan duct is incredible and worth every penny!

I’ve printed a model with the led placements and I’ve been having a very hard time trying to pull the wires through the tiny little L shaped hole. May I know how did you manage to do it?

yeah it's a little hard to do that, it's one of the area that would need some improvement. I usually manage to do it by pre bending the wires up a little and or using something more rigid to fish the wires in there (like an unfolded paperclip)

I have a question, I just ordered some linear rails kit for my Ender 3 v2, should I use Briss fang Ender 3 MS linear rails V4.4 + CR touch + LEDs or is there no specific Ender 3v2 version of this for linear rails?

Your microswiss direct drive kit won't fit with linear rails. Are you buying the microswiss linear rail kit or something else? The "Ender 3 MS linear rails" was made specificaly for the microswiss linear rail kit they sell for ender 3. This fits all versions of the ender 3 and CR-10, etc.

Correct, I bought the Microswiss DD Linear Rail kit - https://store.micro-swiss.com/products/main-body-for-micro-swiss-direct-drive-extruder-for-linear-rail-system (just the mount body as I already have the extruder and hotend).

I want to use this on an Ender 3 V2 with a Dragonfly Hotend BMS. Has anyone tested this, and made any changes needed?

I have the same question, got today my Dragonfly and I liked the design for the stock hotend already

Good morning. One quick question, if possible. This can be answered both by the creator and the user's. I've bought a Phaetus Drangonfly BMS. Will this fit, or should I try and find some other duct system? Thanks a lot!!!!

Dragonfly is a bit too wide for this shroud but you can try modifying it.

Hi, thanks for all the updates in the past month. I finally got this working with my aquila and everything fits snugly. One thing to note though is the holder pins for the 4020 fans are slightly loose on the noctuas since they have a cutout to fit the head of a cap head screw, leaving there about 1-2mm of wiggle room.

Fantastic, thankyou! This is a great model, I have it setup with 2x Sunon MF40202V2-1000U-A99 fans run straight off the 24V headers, and I stretched out the included clips slightly to accomodate a fan grill. Parts have never been nicer. If I could make one suggestion: Where the hexagonal nut locations for the fans are, would it be possible to make this solid to allow for the use of threaded brass inserts for better longevity. https://imgur.com/a/QwAP5D7 Thanks again for the brilliant model!

interesting suggestion for the brass inserts. A lot less common than plain nuts tho, not sure it would be suitable for as many people... I'll think about it.

Of course, I only dabble in CAD myself so I don't know how much work would be involved. It would be nice to have, but I can live without it if it never happens. Thanks again!

I have just acquired your models and I see that there is many many different versions.
Could you tell me which one whould suit best for an Ender 3 PRO ?
This will be my first printed uprgade and I will use 2 Noctua 40x10mm fan (btw is it ok to use these or its better to use 40mm like you ? )

The one that says ender 3 pro in the title. CR-touch mount and LEDs are optional.

4010 noctuas are known to have less flow than stock fans, you might be better using 4020 fans.

I went from version 4.3 to 4.4 and, indeed, the latest version is clearly better than the previous one, although the whole design was good from the beginning. However, I have two observations:
- if possible, in the following iterations, please increase a little bit the tolerance of the nuts slots. It took me a lot of time trying to squeeze one in parts fan slot and I ended up breaking the fang.
- the BL touch offset is something like -46 / -10, at least in my case (Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4 + leds + cr touch)
All in all I am very happy with the design. Very good cooling, exactly where you need it, minimal noise, excellent. Thanks again!

For the nuts tho, i rather have them too tight than falling off all the time. If they don't go in easily just apply a little heat to the nut with a lighter (holding it with pliers of course) and then push it in. The hot nut will soften the plastic and it will fit like a glove.

Thanks for the awesome design- It's great to such a good product that is well designed, well supported, accessible, and affordable.

I just bought the files only to realize now that the current selection is not compatible with the Dragonfly BMS. Totally my fault- I should have read the comments before hand.

As I was reading through the comments, I noticed a decent amount of talk about the Dragonfly BMS hotend- Would you consider creating a modified version of the Ender3 Pro Briss Fang to properly accommodate the Dragonfly BMS?

I have plans to make a complete different fang which would also solve some other small issues. The plan would be to make it compatible with larger hot ends, orbiter extruder and maybe BMG. But nothing done yet, won't be out soon.

I just print the last version with PETG, and it's just perfect !

What is your speed fan for PETG ? ( i have Sunom, 330 Ohms resistor, Jyers ) i ask because at low speed sometimes fan don't turn. Not a issue at all, but i need to find the "right number" :-)

This is due to the stupid way Creality implemented PWM, plus Sunon's MagLev implementation. You have nothing to do but see what value the fan starts to spin. Usually between 25-30%.
The best solution is to connect the fan to another mcu with a mosfet.
ps PETG needs just little cooling, so you should do some tests

Is there a noticeable difference in airflow between V4.3 and V4.4 ? I printed 4.3 but did not built it in jet and wondered if a reprint would be worth the improvement. Thanks for the great design Briss :)

In my opinion, yes, it is worth reprinting. The jet is concentrated closer to the hotend.

the V4.4 is indeed an improvement... but i've still been using the v4.3 geometry for the last year and it was working good...

yes, the same duct will fit either hot end, as long as it's not a larger hot end like a dragonfly.

Thanks for your efforts on these models. I am trying to print the Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4 + cr touch.STL but the third attempt has failed. The support fails by snapping off half way up so the cr touch is then not supported. Any advice?

most likely some issues with your print settings. You can add a custom support in cura.

Is there an update to the GulfCoast MS situation?

There are height adjustments slots for the mounting points since v4.3 . So yes, it should solve the issue of the shorter hot ends.

Does your v4.4 aquila mount finally correct the mounting holes for the gantry plate?

I have little confused with your naming files. I have stock ender 3v2 with bl touch (ordered some Sunon 4020 fans already), so do I print "Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4.STL" and "BL touch v4 for Ender3 V2" OR just "Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4 + cr touch.STL" file? Great work you've done here, thanks again.

You should print "Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4" + "BL touch v4 for Ender3 V2" + "BRISS fang V3 V4 flow control" OR "Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4 + cr touch" + "BRISS fang V3 V4 flow control"

"Briss fang Ender 3v2 V4.4 + cr touch.STL" is the best file to print. the integrated BL touch is stiffer than the add-on part, less chances of things moving around or getting loose.

Yes it's compatible. The CR-touch mount is backwards compatible with BL-touch.

Just purchased your duct to go with the rest of my upgrades I have coming in. Any chance you'd be able to work out an EZABL version?

Not asked very often, hard to justify spending that much time on a design...

I always wanted to allow to print without support, adding that 3rd bolt messed up that strategy. But by adding the tiny tower straight into the model, the impact is pretty minimal VS the added benefits. Rigidity is very important for the probe to be reliable

Is there a big difference between CR-Touch mounting and BL-Touch mounting?

After some search i found out that the holes are exactly the same, the difference is that the cables come out of crtouch from the top while they come out from the side on the bltouch. So a bltouch mount could cover the cr cables.

Hey there, I just printed v4.2 for the Ender 3V2 and overall I'm pretty happy with it! I'm using twi Sunon 4020 Fans which are pretty quiet - except the hottend one: As soon as it has contact with the duct, it releases a very annoying high pitched sound. I tested and the fan attached and detached. Wind noises are totally fine but it seems that the fan transmits vibrations to the duct. Is there any solution for this? Something like decoupling?

that's strange, maybe a bad fan? mine is pretty quiet.

At some point i had a 330 ohm resistor on the fan to reduce the speed and it was then dead quiet and ran great. Just removed it because the resistor broke, i have yet to reinstall a new one.

Is there a bltouch/crtouch mount for the aquila? Also, how is compatibility with the phaetus dragonfly hotend which is a few mm shorter?

NOt yet, will release that with a built in mount with V4.4. There is some adjustment, 2-3mm.... depends how short it is compared to stock? Dragonfly is also wider so it doesn't wuite fit in there.

I also found that part and it is not easy to print. It needs support. I will design another holder that could be placed under the original holder came with cr-touch. It will be as thick as the this model's attachment section and i will be able to attach both parts by using same screw. I am waiting my noctua fans to be arrived currently. I will share the model after i tested.

What's the intended vertical clearance between the duct and the tip of the nozzle?

I'm looking into it, but it's not done yet. Lot of people seem to use the BL touch with fang stacked on the metal bracket, so i guess you can do the same with the CR touch

just downloaded your files, I don't see on the list the ender 3 pro with the bltouch bracket as one piece only for the ender 3 v2. am I missing something?

Very cool shroud. I have an Aquila and there is a problem but everyone else is describing it wrong. The holes are in the right spots. The arm that grips the right side of the gantry is too long. The bottom of the gantry gets in the way. Because the spot you have for the left hole is long it can still fit but the top hole would be off. Everyone is assuming their shrouds are positioned right and the holes are wrong. But actually their shrouds are too high. I removed the excess in tinkercad. I'll send you the stl so you can compare.

either drill the holes to 4mm or use M3 bolts and nuts

I've been using this on my Ender-3 V2 for a few months now and I like it even more today than I did when I assembled it!!!

In fact, I've since changed my board to an SKR 2 powered by Klipper (so now I can control all the fans and lights) and I've been able to print at 120mm/s with 2500mm/s2 accelerations with excellent quality!!!!

I have no doubt at all that this type of quality when printing is also due to the quality of the fang - so thank you very much Brissmoto! :)

PS: I've got my eye on the E3D Revo hotend, and I would gladly pay for a new fang if you ever decided to support that! ;)

V6 hot end mounting is pretty huge so it's hard to make something clean around that. I am working on something for larger hot ends but i was tempted to stay away from the V6... but then again, most bigger hot ends have V6 mounts. Do you think a printed V6 mount is acceptable or you would like something that goes around the large V6 aluminum adaptor mount they sell?

Personally, I would prefer to keep the original aluminum heat sink (it is there for a reason!) but I do get your point on size (that thing is big!)

Whatever you decide, I would recommend designing for the E3D Revo V6 instead of the legacy V6 (they do share the same footprint) as that is where the future is.

They also have a smaller E3D Revo called Revo Micro (check their website), and Nero3DP has been using the beta for months and all the comments I've seen from him on his YouTube channel is praise for the hotend, so that might make more sense here.

In fact, they will be launching the Revo Micro first and I for one, would definitely like one for my printer - and a Briss fang would go great with it!!

sorry, not talking about the heatsink, but the V6 mounting bracket that holds the heatsink.

Ah, got it! In that case, assuming that there is enough air flow to keep things cool, I do think that a printed mount would be fine!

Hello, my stock ender3v2 hotend has to be replaced. I have been using this for several months now and am curious if the microswiss bowden tube hotend will fit with the printed parts I used for the stock ender3v2 hotend. Can you advise?

I don't know, but I'm about to make an assumption it should work myself. Attempting probably later this week once I finish printing more random parts

I have installed the MicroSwiss Hotend and it fits. Strangely, I found the actually hotend is a little more left than the stock. I couldn't attach the silicon cover after installing the shroud, i had to put it on first and give it a good squeeze to get it over. See here -> https://imgur.com/a/9siKNnL

i have not heard back from anyone with any details on what did not fit so i assume it was a user mistake and they fixed it.

Seems Microswiss Updated the Direct Drive for Ender with Linear Rails to the 2605. The actual Direct Drive appears to be longer in the X direction as the backing plate of the Fang will not fit now. Is there a possibility for an update? Also what are the odds of a EZABL mount solution for the 12mm currently sold?

I just have everything set up for EZABL but I can change to a BLTouch if that is too much of a hassle.

Not yet, V6 mount is huge and it's hard to do something clean arround it. I think you'll have more luck fitting a mellow NF-smart or NF-zone hot end under the current fang.
