Beschreibung des 3D-Modells

The basic question driving my project is how we can make use desktop 3D printers as best as we can in our homes. This is a very current problem, because in the past the main focus was on rapid prototyping but in the future it is on rapid manufacturing. This is because the price of the FDM printers is decreasing greatly. One of the possible solutions is the joint design. If we want to create larger objects with our printers, we should print only the small joints and we will be able to connect bigger parts from different materials.
I optimised my joint collection to 3D printers. It is allowed to connect 8 millimetres plywood sheets to each other in different angles. It contains 90, 45 and 120 degree elements. One important feature of the design is that you do not have to screw or glue the parts. It is possible to build furniture, installations, partitions and anything else. It only depends on your creativity. With these experimental objects I wanted to draw attention to the importance of changing our thinking as to how to build something with 3D printers.

Hey, do you have any clues for me how to print it on an fdm printer. the supports are really tough to remove from the inside. they are messing up my print every time. Thanks for the answer.

Hi, Awesome project!!!! I truelly love it, just one question. Is there a problem if I sell some furniture with your joints or what we can do about it because i made some shelfs with it and some friends loved the designs and ask me for some for their office. Thanks for the answer

I wasn't planning on using plywood, instead solid would planks (for greater rigidity)...Do you offer the files in a parametric format ?

The carrying capacity of the shelf depends on the span. I could not tell you exact numbers of it but I am think the bottleneck is the strenght of the the plywood because the joint is strong enough I guess. It needs some test to make it sure.

Interested in your joints, but I'm building elaborate kitchen store room shelving that needs to be able to support up to 50kg per shelf. I imagine your joints would need modification to suit this... any thoughts on proceeding? tx

howdy - very interested in your approach. Planning to build an elaborate shelving system for a kitchen store room. The shelves would carry considerable load (up to 50 kg per shelf). From the visuals it looks like your design could need modification for my loads -- any thoughts on how to proceed?
