Flexible pliers

3D model description

A remix on the design by Eric Serre, this print modifies the flexible pliers to make it into a dual-material print. While it's still using the flexible properties of our nGen_FLEX for the hinge section, the handle parts can now be printed in another material to combine into even greater functionality.

colorFabb's nGen and nGen_FLEX have good adhesion when combined which allows this print to work straight out of the printer without a difficult interlocking geometry.

3D printing settings

Printer Brand:
BCN3D

Printer:
BCN3D SIGMA

Rafts:
No

Supports:
No

Resolution:
0.15

Notes:
We scaled the model by 150% to allow for a perfect fit with the BCN3D Sigma's 0,6mm nozzles.
The model exists entirely out of perimeters so no need for infill.

colorFabb's nGen and nGen_FLEX have good adhesion when combined which allows this print to work straight out of the printer without a difficult interlocking geometry.
If however you find that the connection between both materials is not strong enough you could probably scale up the hinge part a few percent to create more overlapping geometry.

A nGen brim was used to make sure the small footprint stuck well to the printbed.
