Pencil Necklace

3D model description

This little pencil necklace makes a cute gift for teenagers, but adults like them too.

I designed this in Tinkercad and printed on a Monoprice Mini Select IIIP. I used MG Chemicals Wood 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm to give it a more authentic pencil look. Afterwards I painted it with craft paint. (HINT: Sharpie permanent markers paints on wood filament just as good ;)

You can scale this model to make it any size you want. If you leave it the way I have it the pencil is 1 1/2 inches in length and 1/4 inch in width.

I used Cura as my slicer software. I did a 20 percent fill but you may choose whatever fill you prefer. I used no rafts but did use supports since the pencil does not lay flat on the bed. You could rotate it to stand up straight to print also, but you will need to use rafts, but no support.

Using a print speed of 2.0 mm and a fill density of 20 percent, it took about 18 minutes for me to print off one pencil.

I hope you enjoy my design and if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thank You
