3D model description

Use any of Apple's USB-C Adapters with your new MacBook Pro? Worried about forgetting and/or losing one of those expensive dongles you carry around? Our 3D printed tethers keep your Apple USB-C Adapters close, connecting you to your legacy USB-A devices, Monitors, etc.

The tether secures any of Apple's USB-C Adapters to the USB-C Power Cable included with your MacBook Pro, and is compatible with the below Adapters.

Apple USB-C to USB Adapter
Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter
Apple USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter
Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter
Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Belkin USB-C to VGA Adapter

3D printing settings

The tether file is designed to be printed in NinjaFlex (or similar) on a printer with a .4mm or .6mm nozzle, although other nozzle sizes may work as well.

On a printer with a .4mm or .6mm nozzle, the file should be sliced with 1 perimeter and 100% concentric infill. A layer height between .2mm and .3mm is recommended.

Once the tether is printed, a slip knot must be created. To do this, Insert a paperclip or similar into the small end of the tether, and pull the large end through.

This file is optional, but can assist with installation. Print in ABS or PLA with a single perimeter and 20% infill.
