Hans J Wegner WISHBONE CHAIR (Y CHAIR)

3D model description

The beautiful and famous great chair, WISHBONE CHAIR (Y CHAIR) designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949.
I like this chair, so I made a scale model by 3d printer.

About WISHBONE CHAIR in carlhansen.com :

A scale of this model is 1:10.
55.5mm x 52.2mm x 73.0mm
I used 0.7mm cotton string for seat.

A printing this model was so difficult by my diy 3d printer.
There was a need a lot of sanding for me.
And need adhensive, becaouse some regs ware broken.
After these trouble, I am satisfied with this Wishbone chair that I made.

Thank you for your understanding my poor english!

I knitted the seat with 0.7mm cotton string.
I learned how to knit the seat of WISHBONE CHAIR follow page.
http://www.tai-workshop.com/seat/s-03.html
This page is only written by Japanese, but These figures are helpful.
I want to show how to knit the seat, however who knows when...

Cool!

What about the seat? I don't see it in the 3D files. Is it made with some kind of thread or was it 3D printed as well?

Awesome! I would love to print that as well, since I love these chairs as well.

How did you do make the straw part?
