Alcalá del Júcar is an ancient little town in southeastern Spain, near Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha. Its castle is of almohad origin (arabic), built in the XII and XIII centuries. It's located on top of a cliff carved by the Júcar river, which snakes around the white rock landscape.
